We must always …

We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.

  1. First of all I want to say excellent blog! I had a
quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any suggestions or hints? Thank you!

    • Thank you! I think that clearing my thoughts is one of the most difficult tasks in my writing, and something that I continue to work on. I have so many ideas and many of my posts are emotionally driven. Sometimes my posts are more therapeutic- I need to clear my mind BY releasing my opinions into the world wide web! Usually I’ll write, then wait a day before I post so I can reflect and edit to ensure the emotion and passion haven’t gotten in the way of portraying my ideas. I guess my advice is not to waste time and energy trying to figure out how to begin; just write! Maybe the first five minutes will be word vomit, but you can use it as a brain dump to get all the ideas that have been swirling around out and rework things from there. I hope this helped!
